- 35% of seats are available for students from all over Punjab based on open merit.
- Candidates from the concerned district are also eligible to compete for these seats.
- 65% of seats are reserved for the district, and selection is based on close merit.
- Special consideration is given to LHV/Midwives, with a preference for employees of the Health Department.
- There is a departmental quota for admission.
- Children of Health Department employees have a specific quota for admission.
